Manchester City V Everton Team News And Predicted XI Plus Betting Odds

Manchester City will be without David Silva for the match against Everton this weekend. The Spanish magician is out for a few weeks with a hamstring injury.

Injury problems are mounting for manager Pep Guardiola with defender John Stones limping off against Hoffenheim yesterday evening with a knee injury. The problem is not said to be serious but he is a doubt for the Saturday lunchtime kickoff.

Fernandinho’s fitness is also a concern. The Brazilian picked up a thigh injury against Chelsea last week and was not in the squad for the 2-1 win last night. With Danilo also sidelined with a knock, the Citizens have a very long injury list, including those who are out for the long term.

Kevin De Bruyne (knee), Benjamin Mendy (knee) and Claudio Bravo (Achilles) are still out of action, and won’t feature against Everton.
Sergio Aguero (groin) is close to a return but it is touch and go for the weekend.

For Everton, manager Marco Silva only has one new injury concern with Idrissa Gueye reportedly struggling with a groin strain. If the Senegalese international is unable to start, Tom Davies may come into the first eleven.

Unsurprisingly at the bookies, City are firm favourites to take the three points with BetStars having them 1/4 odds-on. A draw is 13/2 with Betfair while an Everton victory is 14/1 at Ladbrokes.

Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Face Everton:

Ederson, Walker, Otamendi, Laporte, Delph, Foden, Gundogan, Bernardo Silva, Mahrez, Gabriel Jesus, Sane

Everton’s Predicted XI:

Pickford, Coleman, Keane, Mina, Digne, Davies, Gomes, Walcott, Sigurdsson, Bernard, Richarlison

Predicted Score –  3-0 to City
