Manchester City V Liverpool: Match Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed he will ask his players to give Liverpool a guard of honour when they enter the pitch at the Etihad tomorrow evening.

No doubt, relinquishing the title to the Reds and then playing them within a few days will not be the easiest of experiences for the Citizens but they will want to make a statement ahead of next season.

In terms of team news, City will have Sergio Aguero missing due to a knee injury which will keep him out for the remainder of the season. Fernandinho is still suspended after his red card against Chelsea.

City’s Predicted XI To Face Liverpool:

Ederson, Walker, Otamendi, Laporte, Mendy, De Bruyne, Rodri, David Silva, Mahrez, Gabriel Jesus, Sterling

Liverpool could still be without James Milner, who picked up a hamstring problem against Everton, while Joel Matip is out for the season with a toe injury. Xherdan Shaqiri is short of match fitness following a calf issue and is unlikely to feature.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Salah, Firmino, Mane

The bookies have found it difficult to split the two teams but City are narrow favourites with William Hill pricing them at 21/20 for the win. A draw is 3/1 at Betfair while a Liverpool victory is 5/2 with BetVictor.

Predicted Score – 2-2
