Manchester City V Shakhtar Team News And Predicted XI

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Kyle Walker is fit to play against Shakhtar Donetsk tonight.

There had been doubts that the England international would be able to play after sitting out the 5-0 win over Burnley at the weekend with a groin injury.

City are still without Danilo who picked up an ankle problem whilst away with Brazil, and Ilkay Gundogan is not in the squad as he recovers from a hamstring issue.

Claudio Bravo (Achilles) and Eliaquim Mangala (knee) are the club’s only long-term injury absentees.

Kevin De Bruyne came off the bench at the weekend and could be in line for his first start following a knee ligament injury.

Both David Silva and Bernardo Silva were substituted midway through the second half in the comfortable victory over Burnley, and they are likely to be fit and fresh to start in Ukraine this evening.

Raheem Sterling didn’t even get off the bench against the Clarets and he’s poised to be brought back into the starting lineup.

Shakhtar are without captain Taison who suffered knee ligament damage earlier this month. The 30-year-old is expected to be out for six weeks. Another key winger Marlos is also out of the encounter at the Metalist Stadium in Kharkiv.

Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Face Shakhtar:
