Manchester City V Tottenham: Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was not totally happy despite beating Sporting Lisbon 5-0 on Tuesday evening. Even so, the result does send out a statement to their rivals.

They will be taking on a Tottenham team bereft of confidence this evening, with Antonio Conte’s side having lost their last three league games against Chelsea, Southampton and Wolves.

Guardiola has confirmed that Jack Grealish remains sidelined with a shin problem while Zak Steffen (knock) and Gabriel Jesus (muscular) face late fitness tests. Cole Palmer is still unavailable due to a foot injury, but Kyle Walker is back in contention after serving his European ban against Sporting.

Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Face Tottenham:

Ederson, Walker, Dias, Laporte, Cancelo, Silva, Rodri, De Bruyne, Mahrez, Foden, Sterling

Spurs boss Antonio Conte will have Eric Dier back in the squad after recovering from a thigh injury. Steven Bergwijn should also be ready to start following a muscular problem. Oliver Skipp (groin) and Japhet Tanganga (knee) have both been ruled out.

Tottenham’s Predicted XI:

Lloris, Emerson, Dier, Romero, Davies, Reguilon, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Moura, Kane, Son

The bookies have made City the heavy favourites with Betfair pricing them at 2/7 for the win. A draw is 5/1 with Sky Bet while a victory for Spurs is currently 12/1 at BetVictor.

Predicted Score – 3-0 to City
