Manchester City V Watford – Match Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Manchester City will be able to stretch the gap to four points at the top of the table against Watford tomorrow.

With Liverpool playing Burnley on Sunday, it gives Pep Guardiola’s team a perfect opportunity to extend their lead in the title race.

Aymeric Laporte has confirmed that he is back in training this week after missing the last two games with a muscular problem.

Guardiola has previously said that the Frenchman would return after the international break so we’ll see if he makes an earlier than expected return.

Fernandinho is still out with his own muscle injury, and the earliest he will return is the game against Fulham on March 30th.

John Stones is a major doubt for the weekend after being substituted against Bournemouth last Saturday. Kevin De Bruyne is also sidelined with a hamstring problem he picked up in the same game.

Goalkeeper Claudio Bravo is still recovering from an Achilles injury that has kept him out for almost the whole season.

Watford have just one slight doubt heading into the game at the Etihad. Fullback Kiko Femenia missed the 2-1 win over Leicester due to illness.

Bookmakers have City as firm favourites to get the three points tomorrow. They are 1/6 with Sky Bet with a draw best priced at 8/1 with Unibet. A Watford win is 22/1 at Betfair.

Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Face Watford:

Ederson, Walker, Kompany, Otamendi, Zinchenko, Bernardo Silva, Gundogan, David Silva, Mahrez, Aguero, Sterling

Watford’s Predicted XI:

Foster, Janmaat, Cathcart, Mariappa, Holebas, Deulofeu, Hughes, Capoue, Doucoure, Pereyra, Deeney
