Manchester City Vs Leicester City: Match Preview & Injury News

Manchester City will be looking to keep their Premier League title hopes alive on Saturday evening – to do so, they’ll need to beat Dean Smith’s Leicester City.

Manchester City will be without Phil Foden for the game against Leicester, as the 22-year-old continues to recover from his appendix surgery. Aside from this, the Citizens have no new injury concerns.

In their last Premier League game, Manchester City picked up a dominant win over a lowly Southampton outfit. Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish and Julian Alvarez were all on the scoresheet as the game ended at 4-1. Haaland’s bicycle kick was the pick of the bunch – it is a serious contender for the goal of the season award.

Meanwhile, Leicester floundered to a pitiful 1-0 defeat at the King Power Stadium against relegation rivals Bournemouth. The Cherries were the better side for the majority of the game – they took home a vital three points thanks to a goal in the 40th minute from Philip Billing.

The last time the two teams met in the league, Manchester City won by a narrow scoreline of 1-0 away from home. It was a tight game – the Foxes were not without their chances, but City proved to be the more clinical team on the day. The Sky Blues’ only goal of the game was scored by Kevin De Bruyne.
