Manchester United V Manchester City: Carabao Cup Semi Final Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola would have been very happy with the performance versus Chelsea on Sunday and he will be looking for his team to carry that momentum into the Carabao Cup semi-final tie against United tomorrow night.

This is not a two-legged affair this year, so the Red Devils will have home advantage, whilst also having a couple of days more rest than the Citizens after beating Aston Villa on Friday evening.

In terms of team news, Aymeric Laporte has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury and it remains to be seen how many of the six City players, who tested positive for the virus, will be available to return against United following self-isolation.

Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Face United:

Steffen, Walker, Stones, Dias, Mendy, Gundogan, Fernandinho, Bernardo Silva, Foden, De Bruyne, Sterling

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has Victor Lindelof (back), Marcos Rojo (calf) and Phil Jones (knee) unavailable while Edinson Cavani is out suspended.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI:

Henderson, Tuanzebe, Bailly, Maguire, Telles, Matic, Fernandes, Pogba, Greenwood, Martial, van de Beek

The bookmakers have made City the favourites with William Hill pricing them at evens to get the win. A draw after 90 minutes is currently 14/5 with Bet365 while a United victory is 13/5 at 888 Sport.

Predicted Score – 2-0 to City
