Marseille defender Boubacar Kamara has hinted that he will be staying at his current club despite intense speculation linking him with a move to the Premier League.
Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham have all been mentioned as possible destinations for the centre-back but taking to Instagram, the player suggested he is looking forward to playing for Marseille in Europe next campaign.
“What an incredible season !!! All together in the Champions League next season !!! Go OM [Olympique Marseille]. And until then, take good care of yourself and your loved ones especially.”
Although it may well be the case that Kamara wants to stay at the Stade Velodrome, the decision may not be down to just him.
Marseille are said to be looking to sell a number of key players in order to balance the books and Kamara could be one of the players sacrificed.
There had been suggestions in the English press that City are prepared to pay £28m for the 20-year-old but it remains to be seen whether such a figure would be enough to secure the defender’s services.
