“Must Be Looking At Him…” Parlour Worried That City May Try To Poach Young Arsenal Star

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour claims Manchester City will be keeping tabs on winger Bukayo Saka’s progress.

The 20-year-old scored against the Citizens on Saturday and, while Parlour is excited about the youngster’s future, he does fear that his head could be turned by the Premier League champions:

“I look at the young team [at Arsenal], they can develop and keep improving. You know what the hardest thing is going to be? It’s keeping the players. You know [what’s happened] over the years. Saka must be on people’s radar all day long, a big side like Manchester City must be looking at him going, ‘he’ll improve our side’.”

Saka is reportedly looking for a new contract and there was speculation last week that he would be open to a move to Liverpool, with the Reds also said to be keen on the player.

It stands to reason then that City would stand a great chance of securing Saka’s signature if he were to consider leaving the Emirates.

The Citizens have signed a few Gunners over the years; not all of which have worked. Kolo Toure, Gael Clichy, Samir Nasri and Emmanuel Adebayor all made the move North to Manchester. Whether there is any genuine interest from City in Saka, though, only time will tell.
