Neville Claims “Unbelievable” City Star Reminds Him Of Three Different Top Drawer Strikers

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville believes Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has the qualities of three separate world-class forwards

The Norwegian international’s unique skillset has led the former Manchester United player to draw comparisons with his ex-teammate Wayne Rooney, Brazilian World Cup winner Ronaldo and a current Premier League striker:

“Erling Haaland is… he’s got the finishing of Kane, the power of Rooney, he’s unbelievable. He’s unbelievable, even the Brazilian Ronaldo, the power he used to have when he ran, the explosion off the mark. He’s almost like four players in one.”

Although it is slightly harder to see the correlation between Haaland and Rooney, Neville is right on the money when he speaks about Harry Kane and Ronaldo.

The Spurs striker’s shooting ability is right up there with the very best of the Premier League era, and Haaland possesses the same qualities.

When it comes to Ronaldo, Haaland’s power and pace is also undoubtedly reminiscent of the Brazilian, especially in his earlier years at Barcelona and when he hit his prime at Inter Milan.

With that lethal combination, it is not completely surprising that Haaland is smashing all the goalscoring records this season.
