Paris Sain-Germain did make an enquiry for Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips last Friday, according to reports in the local media.
The England international is thought to be a key target for Manchester City this summer but the involvement of PSG in the race to sign the England international could complicate the Premier League champions’ transfer plans.
Other teams, including Manchester United, Liverpool, West Ham and Arsenal have all been mentioned as potential suitors for Phillips in recent weeks, but the Citizens were said to be firm favourites for the player’s signature.
Although it is not believed that PSG have followed up their initial enquiry with a formal bid, it does suggest that Pep Guardiola’s side shouldn’t wait too long before making their move for the 26-year-old…..
Leeds are reportedly expecting to sell Phillips for around £50m this summer, which is a valuation that the Citizens are likely to be prepared to match.
