Newcastle V Manchester City: Team News, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Kevin De Bruyne will miss tonight’s game against Newcastle at St James’ Park.

The Belgian international was absent for the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea last weekend due to a muscular injury and he is still not 100% fit. However, the midfielder is the only City player on the treatment table.

Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Play Newcastle:

Ederson, Walker, Stones, Dias, Cancelo, Silva, Rodri, Gundogan, Mahrez, Gabriel Jesus, Foden

Magpies boss Steve Bruce has six injury concerns going into this evening’s match. Callum Wilson (hamstring) Elliott Anderson (hip), Isaac Hayden (knee), Ryan Fraser (groin), Karl Darlow (knee) and Jamaal Lascelles (foot) are all unavailable. Fabian Schar will be suspended as he serves his three-match ban for his sending off against Arsenal.

Newcastle’s Predicted XI:

Dubravka, Murphy, Krafth, Dummett, Fernandez, Ritchie, Shelvey, Almiron, Willock, Joelinton, Saint-Maximin

The bookmakers have made City the strong favourites with Betfred pricing them at 2/7 odds-on for the win. A draw is 5/1 with Sky Bet while a victory for Newcastle is 10/1 at BetVictor.

Predicted Score – 2-0 to City
