Neymar drops huge hint about his future amidst Manchester City links

PSG superstar Neymar says he would love to work with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola at some point in his career, sparking rumours he could move to the Etihad Stadium this summer.

The Brazilian joined the Parisians last summer in a world record £200 million deal, however the former Barcelona star has failed to settle properly in France.

Despite helping guide PSG the French league and cup double, Neymar has come under fire from the club’s fans.

The Brazilian was booed by the home fans earlier in the year when he insisted taking a penalty, which is turn prevented team-mate Edinson Cavani from breaking the club’s all-time scoring record. Neymar then refused to celebrate the victory with his team-mates, and did not partake o in any post match interviews.

There have also been rumours than Cavani and Neymar have been unable to see-to-eye behind the scenes at the Stade de France.

And talks of his unhappiness have led to speculation he could leave Paris, only one season after making the move from Barcelona.

Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid are all thought to be interested in landing the 26-year-old, however given the choice, Neymar is thought to prefer a switch to City to work with manager Pep Guardiola.

“I have always wanted to work with Guardiola.” The Brazilian told ESPN Brazil.

“It’s different, I arrived [at Barca] after he left.

“I really want to work with him.”

Any move for Neymar is expected to cost City well over the £200 million PSG paid for him last summer, with the French club keen to make profit on what would turn out to be a short term investment.
