Norwich City V Manchester City: Match Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola could have two players returning from injury after the international break. John Stones and Gabriel Jesus are both reportedly back in training following thigh injuries.

Stones has been missing since the opening day win against West Ham while Jesus has not featured since the 2-2 draw against Tottenham, but the two players are in contention to play on Saturday.

Benjamin Mendy is also closing in on a long-awaited comeback from a knee injury, but Ilkay Gundogan is a doubt after picking up an illness while away with Germany. Leroy Sane and Aymeric Laporte (both knee) are long-term absentees.

Manchester City’s Predicted Starting XI To Face Norwich:

Ederson, Walker, Stones, Otamendi, Zinchenko, De Bruyne, Rodri, David Silva, Bernardo Silva, Aguero, Sterling

Norwich will be without Tom Trybull (ankle), Timm Klose and Onel Hernandez (both knee) for the game, while Christoph Zimmerman (foot) is also a major doubt. Grant Hanley could, though, return after missing the defeat to West Ham with a groin strain.

Norwich’s Predicted XI:

Krul, Aarons, Hanley, Godfrey, Lewis, Leitner, Stiepermann, McLean, Buendia, Pukki, Cantwell

The bookmakers have made City the clear favourites, with Betfair making them 2/11 odds-on to win. A draw is 8/1 at 888 Sport while a victory for Norwich is 18/1 with Ladbrokes.
