“Not Interested…” £97M Rated Bundesliga Colossus Delivers Transfer Verdict Amid Links To City, Chelsea And Liverpool

Manchester City target Josko Gvardiol says he does not expect to leave RB Leipzig at the end of the season.

The Croatian international has been linked with a switch to the Etihad, with the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid having also been mentioned as potential destinations, but the defender says his team have taken a stance that he isn’t for sale:

“RB Leipzig is not interested in selling me this summer, there is no point in talking about anything else.”

Gvardiol’s comments do back up what some German journalists have been saying in recent days. Leipzig are said to have no intention of offloading the 21-year-old this summer, and an offer of €100m (£88m) wouldn’t even be enough to secure his signature.

However, it is believed that the centre-back does have a €110m (£97m) release clause that can be triggered in 2024, and it appears Leipzig will hold on to the player until then before allowing him to leave the Bundesliga side. We shall see if that stance changes in the coming weeks.
