There is increasing concern among Manchester City’s hierarchy that manager Pep Guardiola could decide to leave the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season, according to former BBC journalist David Ornstein.
In his column for the Athletic (paywall), the reporter claimed he had heard from unnamed sources that the City boss is in the process of moving his family back to Barcelona. Supporters on Twitter are highly sceptical about the report:

Why not exaggerate it by saying Khaldoon Al Mubarak would withdraw his investment as well?

Guardiola has never even hinted that he is considering quitting the Citizens. In fact, he has stated on a number of occasions how happy he is at the club.
With his contract expiring in 2021, his departure is more likely to happen then rather than at the end of the current season. The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager has now been in charge at the Manchester club for nearly three and a half years and could surpass the time he spent as Barca’s first-team head coach.
