Pep Guardiola Scoops Manager Of The Month Award

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been named Premier League Manager of the Month for November.

City sit 11 points clear at the top of the league ahead of bitter Manchester rivals United, and have had a record-breaking start to the season with 15 straight league wins.

They have been achieving those wins with a breath-taking style brand of dynamic attacking football that Pep has instilled into the mega-talented squad he has put together with massive yet astute acquisitions in the transfer market.

The likes of De Bruyne, Silva, Aguero, Jesus and Sane to mention a few are having the times of their lives playing under Pep and their season so far has reflected that with huge wins but also stubborn wins where they have had to dig in or comeback.

November has been a tough month for the Sky Blues, with Guardiola’s men at times having to come from behind to win and scoring late on. But it’s a month that has made a huge statement around the footballing world about them, with many now conceding that they have already won the title with not even half the Premier League fixtures being played.

City managed nine goals in the four games they played in November, a much lower amount than October where they scored 13 in just 3 games. But it is the way in which they won their games which will have impressed the most – with them showing real title winning mentality.

Guardiola’s men started the month with a 3-1 victory over Arsenal, ending the Gunners’ run of five games unbeaten.

They then dispatched of Leicester City relatively comfortably, winning 2-0, before overcoming both Huddersfield and Southampton 2-1 thanks to late goals from Raheem Sterling in both games.
