Pundit Ignores Haaland And De Bruyne As He Praises City Star As “One Of The Best Players In The World”

BBC pundit Paul Robinson has paid tribute to Manchester City midfielder Rodri following his performance against Brighton.

Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne made all the headlines by getting on the scoresheet on Saturday afternoon but Robinson wanted to single out Rodri whose impressive displays sometimes go under the radar:

“Rodri is my favourite player. He is fantastic. He’s the all-round central midfielder. He’s got everything; he cruises through games. One of the best players in the world.”

While Rodri might not always get the credit he deserves, you can 100% guarantee that his teammates appreciate what he does on the football pitch.

Against Brighton, the Spanish international worked his socks off out of possession to win the ball back and help give his side the platform they needed to secure the three points.

Rodri was initially criticised when he first signed for the Citizens from Atletico Madrid, with many questioning his lack of pace and mobility, but he has developed into an outstanding performer in England, dominating the middle of the pitch and helping his team win two consecutive league titles.
