Real Madrid plotting mega money Etihad raid

Real Madrid are eyeing no less than four Manchester City stars as they plot a stunning summer raid on this season’s Premier League champions, according to reports.

Madrid are looking to overhaul their squad during the summer after a disappointing season in which they have slipped 15 points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona.

And after City’s dominance in England, Los Blancos will now turn to some of the Cityzen’s biggest stars to help transform their fortunes.

The Manchester Evening news claim that Madrid are considering moves for all of Kevin De Bruyne, Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling and John Stones this summer.

The former duo of that glistening quartet were both recently named in the PFA Team of the Year. Sane also scooped the PFA’s Young Player of the Year award, while De Bruyne just missed out on the Player of the Year prize to Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

Raheem Sterling has also enjoyed the best season of his career to-date having scored 23 times in all competitions, while John Stones has too impressed, however has spent the latter part of the campaign on the sidelines through injury.

Given their brilliant form, City are doing all they can to keep their prized assets at The Etihad, and have already penned down De Bruyne to a new bumper contract that runs until 2023.

They have also slapped a huge £130 million price tag on Sane.

However if anyone is to have the money to test City’s willpower it’s Madrid, and the Spaniard’s could have money to throw around during the summer if they are to part ways with the likes of Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema.

Bale has been heavily rumoured with a £100 million-plus move to either Manchester United or Bayern Munich, with the money received likely to be used to bolster Madrid’s squad over the summer.
