Redknapp Makes Bold Prediction Ahead Of City’s Clash Against Tottenham

Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is predicting a “feast of football” when Manchester City face his old side this evening.

With Spurs’s new stadium still not ready to host matches, the game will be played at Wembley despite an NFL game being played on the pitch only yesterday.

Redknapp believes the state of the turf could prove to be a leveller, allowing for an entertaining spectacle:

“I know you have some games that you look forward to and are a big disappointment but I’m really looking forward to this one. Both teams are great footballing teams and the pitch won’t favour either team.”

“It’s got the making of a real top game. I can’t see these two not going out and playing their game and it should be a real feast of football.”

Before the game, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino joked the poor condition of the pitch could actually be an advantage for his side, while City boss Pep Guardiola was philosophical about the whole thing.

There is no doubt that the Manchester club’s passing game will suffer somewhat, but both sets of players will have to face the same difficulties.

The Citizens will go back top of the Premier League if they pick up three points, but their opponents could leapfrog them in the table with a win.
