REPORT: City And Chelsea Both Make Offers For £100m Rated Argentinian Marksman

Manchester City and Chelsea have both made approaches for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez, according to Sport. The Catalan publication claims that one of the two Premier League clubs has made a “totally off-market offer” for the Argentinian international.

The forward has a €111m (£100m) release clause which has attracted interest in the 22-year-old, and as well as the two English teams, Barcelona have made the player their top summer target.

Barca are said to be keen to replace Luis Suarez, who turned 33 in January, but they are unable to match the buyout fee needed to secure Martinez.

They have reportedly offered Arturo Vidal in a part exchange offer, and they are counting on the player’s interest in a move to the Camp Nou to help them get the deal over the line.

It is believed that Martinez has already rejected a move to Manchester United, and he is apparently not focused on a move to the Premier League at this time. However, it is understood that could change.
