REPORT: City Did Make Enquiry About Signing 50M Rated Arsenal Star After Selling Zinchenko

Manchester City have “registered” their interest in signing Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper claims that the enquiry was lodged not long after the Premier League champions sold Oleksandr Zinchenko to the Gunners near the end of last month.

Tierney has been linked with City before, with reports suggesting that Arsenal may value the player at around £50m, despite his poor injury record.

The fullback’s fitness would be a major concern. Since moving from Celtic, the 25-year-old has picked up six major injuries that have seen him miss a total of 48 matches over a three-year period.

At the moment, the Citizens are not expected to go back into the market, after recruiting Anderlecht’s Sergio Gomez, although many feel that the Spaniard’s lack of experience could count against him. With that being the case, it isn’t a surprise that the club are also keeping an eye on Tierney.
