Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar’s preferred destination this summer is Juventus, according to Le10 Sport. The French magazine claims the 22-year-old has a “clear preference” for the Serie A champions despite interest from Manchester City, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.

Reports in the UK have claimed in recent days that the Citizens have placed the France Under 21 international on a list of midfielders they are targeting this summer.

However, the club who has expressed the most interest so far is Arsenal with technical director Edu having contacted Lyon about a possible part-exchange deal involving midfielder Matteo Guendouzi.

In terms of finances, though, City, would be able to blow their competition out of the water if they do choose to step up their interest by making a formal offer for Aouar.

The Frenchman is believed to be valued at around €50m (£45m) by Lyon; a figure the Manchester club would have no trouble paying.
