Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s father has confirmed that the Napoli winger is very aware of the interest being shown in him from other clubs.

Reports at the weekend had claimed that Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are among the teams tracking the Georgian international, after his stellar start to the season in Italy. Despite only joining Napoli in the summer, there have been suggestions that the Serie A club could offer the player a new contract. When asked about the speculation, Badri Kvaratskhelia said that no one had been in contact about a potential extension but his son is conscious of the fact that clubs are keeping tabs on him:

“Nobody has spoken to us about the contract yet. At this stage, Khvicha doesn’t even think about it, he only thinks about playing. Khvicha is informed about market rumours, but it doesn’t influence him at all.”

Kvaratskhelia has been in excellent form for Napoli, having scored seven goals and contributed eight assists in his first 15 appearances in Italy.

The 21-year-old has played a key role in helping his team top their domestic table as well as their Champions League group.
