Southampton V Manchester City: FA Cup Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Manchester City will be looking to keep their treble hopes alive when they take on Southampton in the FA Cup quarter-final tomorrow afternoon.

The Saints held them to a 1-1 draw at St Mary’s in the league fixture back in January but they have now lost three matches in a row, including two at home against Newcastle and Watford, so the away side will be confident of progressing.

In terms of team news, Cole Palmer is expected to be back available after a lengthy period out with a foot injury. Ruben Dias has returned to training but he is unlikely to be risked for the cup clash.

Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Face Southampton:

Steffen, Walker, Stones, Ake, Zinchenko, Gundogan, Fernandinho, Silva, Jesus, Foden, Sterling

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl will have Tino Livramento, Armando Broja and Nathan Tella all back in contention, but Lyanco (thigh) and Alex McCarthy (hamstring) are both still sidelined.

Southampton’s Predicted XI:

Forster, Livramento, Bednarek, Salisu, Walker-Peters, S. Armstrong, Ward-Prowse, Romeu, Elyounoussi, Broja, Adams

The bookies have City as the heavy favourites with Unibet pricing them at 7/20 odds-on to win. A draw after 90 minutes is 9/2 with Bet 365 while a victory for the Saints is 9/1 at Paddy Power.

Predicted Score – 2-0 to City
