Southampton V Manchester City: Match Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was frustrated that his team did not make the most of their chances in their disappointing 1-1 draw against West Brom on Tuesday night.

They will need an improvement on that performance if they want to come away with the points when they face an in-form Southampton side at St Mary’s this weekend. The Saints are actually five places above the Citizens in the Premier League table at the moment.

In terms of team news, City will be without Eric Garcia and Oleksandr Zinchenko for the game, but Sergio Aguero could well be ready to start his first match since the draw against West Ham back in October.

Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Face Southampton:

Ederson, Walker, Stones, Dias, Cancelo, De Bruyne, Rodri, Gundogan, Torres, Aguero, Sterling

Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has no players currently on the treatment table and he should have a fully fit squad for the game on Saturday.

Southampton’s Predicted XI:

McCarthy, Walker-Peters, Bednarek, Vestergaard, Bertrand, Walcott, Ward-Prowse, Romeu, Armstrong, Adams, Ings

The bookmakers have made City the favourites with William Hill pricing them at 1/2 for the win. A draw is 15/4 with Betway while a victory for Southampton is 6/1 at Skybet.

Predicted Score – 2-2
