‘Take Him Now!!!’ ‘No Way He’s Worth 68M’ Fans Discuss Reports That City Are Scouting France International

Manchester City are keeping close tabs on AC Milan left-back Theo Hernandez, according to reports in the UK.

The Citizens are actively seeking a replacement for Benjamin Mendy and they have identified the France international as a potential option.

Hernandez is, however, rated at around £68m by Milan, which could prove a major obstacle, and supporters on Twitter are very much split on whether the 23-year-old would be worth the outlay:

The fullback has been linked with both Chelsea and Manchester United in previous summers, and City have also been monitoring his progress for quite a long time.

Since moving to Milan in 2019, Hernandez has been heralded as one of the most attack-minded left-backs in European football, racking up 15 goals and 14 assists in 85 appearances for the Rossoneri.

The Frenchman would fit perfectly into Pep Guardiola’s system, although there remain questions about his defensive capabilities, which make his price tag pretty steep.
