The teenage centre-back kept Kylian Mbappe at bay playing for Benfica in the Champions League group stages, and he is already attracting interest from the likes of Manchester United.
Silva has only made 18 senior appearances but his talent led Portugal boss Fernando Santos to include him in his 26-man squad despite the fact that he has never been capped at international level.
