Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola wants a win at all costs mentality as the Citizens chase down Liverpool in the title race.
The Spaniard even went as far as to say he doesn’t care how the team plays as long as they show the hunger and desire to finish top of the table:
“I want to see the desire that we really, really want to win this title. I want to see it. I don’t care about the way we want to play or the other things.”
Fans on Twitter were quick to back up Guardiola’s fighting talk:
Go on Pep , that’s the spirit, every match a cup final, let’s do it. Desire wins over tiredness.

Both City and Liverpool have home games against mid-table sides this evening. Jurgen Klopp’s men face seventh-place Watford at Anfield while tenth-place West Ham travel to the Etihad.
With eleven games to go, anything can happen during the run-in, but Guardiola will be confident of keeping up the pressure on their rivals with three points against the Hammers.
City will, however, be without Fernandinho and Aymeric Laporte who had to be taken off during the Carabao Cup final win over Chelsea. The pair have joined John Stones and Gabriel Jesus on the treatment table.
