There are some reports that suggest the Portuguese international’s wage has been cut by a quarter after United missed out on the Champions League last season but those claims have not been substantiated.
It may, though, be part of the reason why Ronaldo is so keen on leaving United, although there are certainly plenty of other possible explanations for his potential exit.
