The Two Dates In June For When The Premier League Could Return To TV Screens

TV broadcasters have been told to prepare to televise the first Premier League game on its return either on Friday, June 12th or Friday, June 19th, according to the Daily Mail.

At the moment, these are preliminary dates as there is no agreement in place with Premier League clubs but the Mail report that there is a strong desire to get back on the pitch from the middle of next month.

There is a suggestion that Manchester United V Tottenham will be the first fixture on the Friday evening when the league resumes, but there will also be a whole host of other games being televised each weekend.

The schedule is expected to be one match on Friday, four on Saturday and another four on Sunday with staggered kick-off times, with the final fixture on Monday night.

There will be no restrictions on televising all games, with the 3 pm Saturday blackout having been lifted, so it’s likely many of them will be broadcast for free on British TV or streamed online, with the biggest games on Sky Sports and BT Sport.
