“The Very Last Day…” Patrick Vieira Makes City Title Race Claim As He Delivers Verdict On Who Will Finish Top

Former Manchester City and Arsenal player Patrick Vieira claims that Pep Guardiola’s team will continue to “chase” the Gunners to “the very last day” of the season.

After the draw against Nottingham Forest at the weekend, the Citizens now find themselves two points behind Arsenal, having played a game more, and Vieira believes it is very much in the hands of the current league leaders:

“I think the Premier League title is Arsenal’s to lose, to be honest with you. I think Arsenal did really well against Aston Villa on Saturday, to bounce back with that 4-2 win at Villa Park. They are just in a really good place at the moment, with a lot of confidence. But I still believe Manchester City will chase Arsenal until the very last day of the Premier League season. But I think it’s Arsenal’s title to lose.”

Dropping points on Saturday is undoubtedly a big setback for City, especially after gaining some momentum following the big win over the Gunners last week.

Even so, there are likely to be plenty more twists and turns in the title race over the coming weeks. The reigning champions can still pick up a maximum of 42 points in their last 14 fixtures between now and May.

If Guardiola’s men can go on a long winning streak, you would still back them to overhaul Arsenal at the top, but a lot depends on them finding some consistency.
