4) Jannik Vestergaard – Leicester City – £15m
The fee did look pretty excessive for a defender who is pretty slow and struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League initially at Southampton. After one or two decent seasons, though, Leicester decided that he was worth signing.
However, Vestergaard’s performances have been pretty poor since arriving at the King Power Stadium, and he hasn’t played in any of the Foxes’ last eight games.
