AC Milan and Arsenal are keeping tabs on Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling’s situation, according to Calciomercato.it.
After only being sent on during extra-time in the 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid on Wednesday night, there is growing speculation that the England international is no longer deemed a key player by manager Pep Guardiola.
Calciomercato suggest that “there could be a goodbye” this summer with Sterling and City going their separate ways, with Milan sporting director Paolo Maldini “evaluating” the 27-year-old as a potential transfer target.
Arsenal are also mentioned as having an “interest” in the player but a lot will depend on whether Sterling is offered a new contract by the Citizens.
The winger has just over a year remaining on his current deal at the Etihad and there has been no sign that an extension is close. If a decision is made to sell then it appears that Sterling will have, at least, two potential suitors.
