Tottenham V Manchester City: Match Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Manchester City kick off their Premier League title defence against Tottenham on Sunday, with the central talking point being whether Harry Kane will face the side he is tipped to join before the summer transfer window closes.

Spurs are coming into the campaign with a new manager in Nuno Espirito Santo and we shall see what effect he has on his players when the two teams face each other this weekend.

In terms of team news, the Citizens will be without Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden (both ankle) while Liam Delap has not recovered from a foot injury.

Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Play Tottenham:

Ederson, Cancelo, Stones, Dias, Mendy, Fernandinho, Gundogan, Rodri, Mahrez, Torres, Grealish

Spurs are expected to have Japhet Tanganga (groin) available but Kane is a doubt due to a lack of match fitness. New signing Cristian Romero (knee) and Tanguy Ndombele are unlikely to feature, while Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) has been ruled out.

Tottenham’s Predicted XI:

Lloris, Tanganga, Sanchez, Dier, Reguilon, Lo Celso, Dele, Hojbjerg, Bergwijn, Son, Moura

The bookies have City as the firm favourites with Betfred pricing them at 4/6 for the win. A draw is 16/5 with Bet 365 while a victory for Spurs is currently 23/5 at Unibet.

Predicted Score – 2-0 to City
