Two City Stars Named Among 14 PL Players Nominated For Champions League Team Of The Year

Manchester City duo Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne are among 14 Premier League players to be nominated for the Champions League Team of the Year.

The accolade, which is voted by fans, includes eight Liverpool stars including Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Andy Robertson, Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.

Chelsea have two nominees with both being summer signings in Thiago Silva and Kai Havertz, while Manchester United have one player up for the list in Bruno Fernandes. Tottenham’s Harry Kane is also given a mention.

City may be disappointed that they didn’t get more names put up for nomination but after only winning the Carabao Cup last season, it is not a complete surprise.

Supporters can select their own UCL starting line up here. De Bruyne and Sterling would both be deserving of places in the eleven so make sure you sign up and vote.
