‘Unplayable’ ‘Pay him what he wants’ – City Supporters Lavish Praise On Winger After Southampton Display

Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling scored a brace against Southampton in the 6-1 victory yesterday.

After the game, manager Pep Guardiola praised the 23-year-old for his growing maturity and revealed that the player has completely transformed since his arrival at the Etihad.

Fans on Twitter were full of praise for Sterling after the game:

On yesterday’s performance, most City fans will gladly see the winger receive a bumper new contract to remain at the club.

Reports suggest that Sterling will be given £300,000 a week to make him the highest paid British player in the world. His form over the past two seasons has certainly merited a pay rise.

Last campaign, the England international hit the back of the net 23 times and provided 17 assists in all competitions. He is well on course to matching or even surpassing those figures this season.

His two goals against the Saints has taken his total to six in 13 games, as well as creating six goals for his teammates.
