Manchester City centre-back Ruben Dias has been included in the nominations for GiveMeSport‘s Premier League Fans’ Player of the Season award.

The Portuguese international will battle it out for the prize along with Chelsea’s Mason Mount, Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, Leeds’ Stuart Dallas and Aston Villa’s Emi Martinez.

Dias has had an extraordinary first season at the Etihad Stadium, following his £62m move from Benfica at the start of the campaign. The defender has helped City win two major trophies, as well as playing a key role in getting the Manchester club to their first Champions League final.

In the Premier League, the 24-year-old contributed hugely as the Citizens finished the campaign with the best defensive record in the division, conceding just 32 goals in 38 games, which proved extremely important in winning the title.
