‘We’ll Be Sorted For Years’ ‘Would Be A Great Buy’ Fans Happy That City Are Considering Bid For £71m Rated Serie A Star

Manchester City will make a bid for Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar when the transfer window reopens even if their ban from European competitions is upheld, according to reports in Italy.

The Citizens are said to be eyeing up to two centre-halves this summer as they look to strengthen a backline which has looked vulnerable on occasions this campaign.

Most fans on Twitter think Skriniar could well be the perfect partner for Aymeric Laporte:

A bid of between €70m (£62m) and €80m (£71m) would reportedly be enough to convince Inter into selling the Slovakian international, but the Nerazzurri don’t expect any team to match their valuation.

Whether City would consider making an offer close to those numbers, we shall have to wait and see. They would likely need to break their transfer record for the third consecutive summer to get their man.

They paid £60m for Riyad Mahrez in 2018 while they triggered Rodri’s €70m release clause to bring the Spaniard to the Etihad last July.
