‘Well Deserved’ ‘City’s Best Player In The Last 2 Months’ Fans React As City Ace Is Nominated For March Award

Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez has been nominated for March’s PFA Player of the Month award along with five other players.

Tottenham’s Harry Kane, West Ham’s Jesse Lingard, Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette, Manchester United’s Luke Shaw and Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho are also up for the prize.

Mahrez has been in top form in recent weeks and supporters on Twitter believe the Algerian international’s nomination is merited:

In March, Mahrez scored three goals in the three league games he played in, which included a brace in the 5-2 win over Southampton. The 30-year-old has certainly stepped up to the plate recently, not only domestically, but in Europe too, with his display against Borussia Dortmund last night also worth a mention.

In all competitions this season, the Algerian has scored 10 goals and provided seven assists. If you want to nominate him for the award, you can do so by heading here and selecting his name from the six-man shortlist.
