Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara believes Manchester City could yet eclipse Liverpool’s achievements this season if they go on to win the Carabao Cup, FA Cup and Champions League.
The Reds look to have the league title sewn up, but with the Citizens in the final of the League Cup, still going strong in the FA Cup and facing a European tie versus Real Madrid, Pep Guardiola’s side could still transform a disappointing campaign into a memorable one.
City Supporters on Twitter believe O’Hara’s comments do have some merit:
Well said Jamie

Would have thought that was pretty obvious though. Same as last season. More trophies better season

City need to win the champions league, I'd take that over the league, I can understand liverpool wanting that and they fully deserve to win the league but if city win the champions league and say one more trophy I'd be more than happy, dont think squad needs to much either.

If city only win 1 cup and that 1 cups the european cup, we’ve had a better season then them. I remember in May the European cup being the better one to win that’s all ?

No one thought that last year when we did domestic treble pic.twitter.com/Thfwf0Jp6c

i agree with him, the season is not over, the city players have to be more "realistish"

Although, some fans are doubting whether City have the defence to go all the way in Europe:
On current form we won’t get past Madrid

But we wont

The only positive about being so far behind in the title race is that manager Pep Guardiola can focus on other priorities and be a bit smarter when it comes to team selection around cup games. Whether it will lead to a famous cup treble, we shall have to wait and see.
