‘We’re Finished’ ‘We Ain’t Getting Anyone’ City Fans Disappointed As Move For 220 Goal Striker Is Ruled Out

Manchester City have no interest in signing Barcelona forward Antoine Griezmann this summer, according to reports in the English media.

The Citizens were heavily linked with the Frenchman in the Spanish press last week, with one report even claiming that manager Pep Guardiola had held talks with the player.

However, despite Griezmann having scored 220 goals in his senior career, City are believed to be looking at other targets. Fans on Twitter are worried that the club won’t sign a new number nine this summer, while others are hoping they go all-in for Tottenham’s Harry Kane:

Griezmann has also been mentioned as a possible target for Chelsea and Manchester United, but it is now believed that a move back to Atletico Madrid is the likeliest outcome. Talks are said to be ongoing about a swap deal that would see Saul Niguez moving in the other direction to Barcelona, but we shall see if that comes to anything.
