West Ham V Manchester City: Match Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Manchester City have a rather tough opening league fixture against West Ham on Sunday afternoon.

Pep Guardiola‘s side had to come from 2-0 down to draw the game at the London Stadium in May and they will be hoping to improve on that performance and result this weekend.

Aymeric Laporte is expected to be the only injury absentee for the Premier League champions, with the Spanish international still recovering from a knee operation.

Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Face West Ham:

Ederson, Walker, Dias, Ake, Cancelo, De Bruyne, Rodri, Silva, Mahrez, Haaland, Grealish

West Ham boss David Moyes will be without one of his big summer signings, Nayef Aguerd, who picked up an ankle problem in pre-season. Issa Diop is also a doubt due to a knock.

West Ham’s Predicted XI:

Fabianski, Coufal, Dawson, Zouma, Cresswell, Soucek, Rice, Lanzini, Bowen, Antonio, Fornals

The bookmakers have made City the strong favourites for this match with Coral pricing them at 4/11 for the win. A draw is 17/4 with Betway, while a victory for the Hammers is 15/2 at Ladbrokes.

Predicted Score – 2-1 to City
