Photos purporting to show Manchester City’s new home kit for the 2021/22 season have leaked online, and it’s fair to say the reaction hasn’t been particularly positive.
Kit manufacturers Puma have paid tribute to the departing Sergio Aguero by adding the time he scored that crucial winner against QPR back in 2012, which is a nice touch.
However, the darker blue, combined with the white under the arm, hasn’t gone down well with most supporters on Twitter:
What on earth?

City have gone with a darker shade in past seasons but this looks quite far off the traditional colour of Sky Blue. It may simply be the lighting in the photo, though, and it could look slightly lighter in real life.
Puma have certainly mixed things up with their home and away kits since taking over as the club’s kit manufacturer, and it is fair to say that this latest effort will probably be just as divisive as some of their previous efforts.
