‘Worth Every Penny And More’ ‘Give Our Boy A Lifetime Contract!’ Fans Delighted As Club Line Up Bumper New Deal For City Ace

Manchester City have offered a six-year contract, worth £150,000 a week, to attacking midfielder Phil Foden, according to reports in the UK.

The 21-year-old’s current deal still has just under three years left to run but the Citizens feel he deserves a sizeable increase on the £40,000 a week he is currently earning.

Unsurprisingly, fans on Twitter are very much behind the plans to hand Foden a new contract, with many wanting him to stay at the Etihad for the rest of his professional career:

After scoring 16 goals and providing 10 assists in 50 appearances for City last season, Foden has now firmly established himself as a regular starter under manager Pep Guardiola.

The England international has not featured for his club this campaign, due to an ankle problem he picked up playing for his country at Euro 2020 but, when he returns to action later this month, he will undoubtedly have a key role to play in the team.
