Manchester City have joined Manchester United, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in pursuing Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to reports in France.
The Serie A side’s sporting director Igli Tare has recently revealed that they will consider offers for the Serbian international:
“If there is a possibility that satisfies the club and the player, it will be taken into consideration. If there is not, he is happy and we are very happy for him to stay.”
However, he also emphasised that there will be no discounts for “first-rate” players like Milinkovic-Savic, who is said to be valued at a staggering €100m (£89m). Fans on Twitter are not sure the 25-year-old should be a priority for City:
Wouldn’t mind. Seems class

Nonsense.
Leftback, centrebacks and sane replacement is what the team REALLY NEEDS.

It would be a big surprise if the Citizens spent a huge sum to improve a position which doesn’t need strengthening. The budget for the next transfer window will likely focus on signing a centre-back and possibly another fullback.
Right-back Joao Cancelo has seemingly not convinced Pep Guardiola, while the City boss may also consider looking for an upgrade on his two options, Benjamin Mendy and Oleksandr Zinchenko, on the left-hand side.
