Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson had to be substituted at half time in the Citizens’ 1-1 draw versus Atalanta last night, and he is now a major doubt for the huge Premier League clash against Liverpool this weekend.
The Brazilian reportedly suffered a muscular injury and was seen limping when leaving the San Siro yesterday. Supporters on Twitter are bemoaning their luck that such a key player could get injured at such an important time:

Could be a knock.. needs a few days.. why must it be negative ?.. geez.. glass is always half full. Why do some city fans assume the worst ?.. what good does negativity do for anyone ?

Haven't seen a team as lucky as Liverpool before,+ 1 extra day-off and playin two consecutive games at anfield and City two away games, that is really unfair I hope bernardo doesn't get suspended also this week.

Ederson’s potential replacement Claudio Bravo certainly didn’t ease City fans’ fears after coming on for the second half against Atalanta. Although his sending off was harsh, his decision to come out of his area was questionable, to say the least.
The Chilean international has not been convincing since arriving from Barcelona three years ago, and while he has played four games this campaign, it is not the ideal preparation heading into a cauldron that is Anfield on Sunday.
