Chelsea Star A Shock Inclusion As TOP FIVE Favourites For The 2021/22 Premier League Golden Boot Are Revealed

With the new Premier League campaign just around the corner, we have decided to take a look at the favourites for the Golden Boot award.

There is a Chelsea player who has been included on this list who will surprise many of you. Others, such as Harry Kane, will not.

The African Cup of Nations in January could play a role in who comes out on top this year, while there are some other factors, which could also influence the winner.

Press the next page as we list the five favourites to be the top scorer for the 2021/22 season (based on the latest info from Oddschecker.com).

5) Sadio Mane – 20/1 – 22/1

Considering the Liverpool forward struggled last season, it is quite surprising to see him make the top five above the likes of Jamie Vardy and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Mane bagged just 11 league goals for the Reds in the 2020/21 campaign but it seems some punters are banking on him returning to his best, having won the Golden Boot in 2019.

4) Raheem Sterling – 16/1 – 20/1

Like Mane, Sterling is coming off the back of a relatively poor domestic season, having scored only ten league goals, but he had an excellent European Championships for England.

With that in mind, it seems many believe that the 26-year-old will bring that form back with him to City ahead of the new campaign.

3) Timo Werner – 12/1 – 16/1

This is quite a flabbergasting one. Werner failed to reach double figures in the league during his first season in England and he hasn’t been firing on all cylinders during preseason either.

However, it appears that there are some out there who think he will come good for Chelsea. The German was a prolific scorer in the Bundesliga so let’s see if he can recapture that form.

2) Mo Salah – 7/2 – 9/2

The two-time Golden Boot winner is always there or thereabouts when it comes to the Premier League goalscoring charts and it is no surprise he is so high up on the bookies’ list.

If Liverpool are to challenge Manchester City for the title, the Egyptian international will need to be hitting the back of the net on a regular basis.

1) Harry Kane – 11/4 – 10/3

Considering the Spurs striker’s goalscoring record, he should be favourite to get another Golden Boot. However, punters should be wary about placing any bets on him.

Kane is already expected to miss the opening day fixture after deciding to return late for preseason training while, if he stays at Spurs, there are no guarantees he will perform to his best level. Were he to get a move to City, though, it would be a different story.
