City Could Pocket Sizeable Sum If Chelsea Go Ahead With Pursuit Of Bundesliga Flyer

Manchester City have a 10% sell-on clause if Bayern Munich were to offload Leroy Sane, according to reports in the local English media.

There were unsubstantiated claims over the weekend that Chelsea are interested in the ex-City star, who has failed to set the world alight since his move back to Germany.

It has been suggested that Bayern may be open to selling Sane next summer if he doesn’t fulfil his potential this season, with the Bundesliga champions keen to recoup the £54.8m they paid City for the winger.

Were that to happen then the Citizens may be in line to earn at least £5.5m from his potential sale. The Premier League champions have already been rewarded this summer for including a sell-on clause in a former player’s contract. They reportedly received £11m when Manchester United signed Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund in July.

At the moment, the Chelsea rumours are very speculative so don’t put your house on Sane returning to England anytime soon.
