‘He Is Not Wrong’ ‘Common Knowledge’ Fans React As Hazard Calls City Star The “Best Player” In The Premier League

Ex-Chelsea star Eden Hazard has been praising the ability of Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

The pair played together for many years at international level and, asked whether the 32-year-old was the best player in the Premier League, Hazard replied:

“By far. Not even close He sees things that all the players don’t see. That’s it. And the way Guardiola gives him the freedom, you know, every time Kevin De Bruyne has the ball, he’s free. And that’s why he’s the best because Kevin free is the best player, not even in the Premier League, in the world.”

City supporters on X are not surprised by Hazard’s comments, with many believing that the Belgian is simply stating facts:

De Bruyne has been excellent since returning from injury

Following his return from a serious hamstring injury, the midfielder has scored 2 goals and provided 7 assists in only 8 appearances.

De Bruyne has only spent 453 minutes on the pitch since making his comeback too, meaning he is averaging a goal contribution every 50 minutes at the moment.

The City playmaker is up there with the best

The Belgian international’s achievements since moving to the Etihad in 2015 should not be downplayed. As well as winning five Premier League titles, he has won two Players’ Player of the Year awards, in addition to many other individual accolades.

De Bruyne will undoubtedly go down as one of the top midfielders of the Premier League era when he eventually hangs up his boots.
